As a proud dog mother, it is so awesome when I find a hotel or resort that accommodates my furry child! Since I got my puppy 2 months ago, I have taken a time-out on the international travel and have been exploring drivable destinations. This includes my most recent trips to Hollywood, Dana Point and Santa Barbara.
So many people are surprised to find out that many of the SPG properties allow pets. The St. Regis in Dana point went above and beyond for our puppy. Upon check in, they brought us a large dog bed, a rawhide bone and food and water bowls. They had so many wonderful grassy areas for her to run and exercise, even socialize with other dogs. All of their out door restaurants are dog friendly and brought her ice water while we dined. We checked in for 2 nights and ended up extending our stay to 5 full nights because we loved it so much!
El Encanto, a Belmond Resort in Santa Barbara is one of the most beautiful properties in California that I have ever seen… and its pet friendly! Apparently you can even bring your pet ducks. They brought our Swissy a bowl of doggy kibble and a bunch of treats. They have a complimentary shuttle service that is so convenient for hotel guests (furry ones included)! We never needed to take our car anywhere throughout our 4 night stay here. We had the shuttle take us to several hikes where Scout got to run wile and meet other dogs.
W, Hollywood. Its great to know that your pup can come to almost any of the W hotels! Scout is always a big hit with the staff anywhere we bring her. The W hollywood is one of my favorite weekend getaways to hang by the pool and share some rosé and I love bringing my dog with me! While you’re at the W, I strongly encourage anyone to go eat at BOA Steakhouse in WeHo. Your pup will definitely appreciate the leftovers… if you have any 🙂
